Protect Settings



Select "Protect" tab page on the main window:


Specify charset of the files which will be protected:

a. You can use "default" if you aren't familiar with this.

b. If you want to password protect Non-English files which using charset different from your OS charset, you need to select the charset your files using so that the protected files display normally.
    If you not know which charset your HTML files using, just open the file and find the line <META http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> , the value after "charset=" is the charset this file using. If your files have two or more Non-English language, you need to protect them separately according to charset type.


Copy HEAD section of the files to be proteced to their login pages:

Check this box to copy HTML code between <head> and </head> in the files which will be protected to their login pages. Otherwise, the login pages will use HEAD section of the selected template file.

Refresh page after login with Microsoft Internet Explore:

Sometimes, the web page may need to refresh to show normally after login with Microsoft Internet Explore. Check this will automatically refresh the web page after login with Internet Explore.


Protect login pages with following script: Check this to protect your login pages with selected scripts.

Disable right mouse click: Check this to disable right mouse click, this will prevent visitors to right click to save pictures, view property of pictures and links and so on.

Disable text select: Check this to disable select, this will prevent visitors to select text, pictures or any other elements of the web pages, so they can't select elements to copy to clipboard.

Disable page printing: Check this to prevent visitors to print your web page. When visitors print your web page, they will get only a blank page.

Disable off-line page viewing: Check this to prevent visitors to view your web page in offline mode. When visitors view your web page in offline mode, they will see only a blank page.

Don't display links in status bar: Check this to prevent visitors from seeing your links in status bar of web browser when mouse moved on. When visitors move mouse on a link, they will see nothing in the status bar.

Kill frame: Check this to prevent other peoples to put your web page on their web page's sub frame. When visitors view your web page on other web page's sub frame, your web page will be automatically opened in the top whole page.

Disable mozilla user: Check this to prevent visitors to view your web page with mozilla web browser (including Firefox, Netscape etc). When visitors view your web page with mozilla web browser, they will see only a blank page. Mozilla web browser users can print screen of your web page, so you can use this option to block mozilla web browser users.

Disable opera user: Check this to prevent visitors to view your web page with opera web browser. When visitors view your web page with opera web browser, they will see only a blank page. Opera web browser users can right click and print screen on your web page, so you can use this option to block opera web browser users.

Disable printscreen: Check this to prevent visitors to print screen of your web page by pressing "PrtSc" key or on other ways. The system clipboard will be cleared if it's not text type so that the screen shot of your web page can't be captured to clipboard.

Disable drag and drop: Check this to prevent visitors to drag graphics or other elements from your web pages then drop them outside of their web browsers, if not disable, your site visitors can drag your pictures to their local disk or elsewhere.

Location lock: Check this to prevent other peoples to put your web page on their website or computer to run. When visitors open your web page on other locations, they will only see a blank page.
    Input a domain for example "http://www.domain.com/" or folder "http://www.domain.com/folder/", then your web page can only be opened when it's URL start with "http://www.domain.com/" or "http://www.domain.com/folder/", for example, if it's URL is "http://www.domain.com/folder/file.html", then your web page can be opened.
    You can also input a full URL for example "http://www.domain.com/folder/file.html" to make a web page can be opened only on this URL, but if do so, you can't protect multiple web pages in one time because each web page need to set a different location lock URL.

Referrer lock: Check this to prevent other peoples to link to your web page on their website or elsewhere. When visitors click a link on other websites to go to your web page,  they will only see a blank page.
    Input a domain for example "http://www.domain.com/" or folder "http://www.domain.com/folder/", then your web page can only be opened when it's referrer link start with "http://www.domain.com/" or "http://www.domain.com/folder/", for example, if it's referrer link is "http://www.domain.com/folder/file.html", then your web page can be opened.
    You can also input a full URL for example "http://www.domain.com/folder/file.html" to make a web page can be linked to only from this URL, but if do so, you can't protect multiple web pages in one time because each web page maybe need to set a different referrer lock URL.
